Hubpages Indexing and Dofollow Backlinks
By skyfire
This hub is my response to some of the questions asked by screation. I’m posting this as hub so that it’ll benefit other Hubbers as well. I’ll also try to cover some other tricks which will be useful for traffic generation apart from getting indexed.
My observation on Hubs getting indexed:
Some Hubbers claim that their hubs are not getting indexed by google or other search engines and it’s more than 24/48 hours since they published their hubs. My response to their query is that they need to build backlinks or find ways to let search engines know about their content.
Some Hubbers have very good experience with their content getting indexed as they get their hubs indexed by search engines in few hours after creating new hub. This is due to many factors like search engine crawling those topics on regular intervals, search engines finding links to hub from other sites like social networks etc. If Hubbers are not promoting their content and still getting their content indexed then there are only two ways with which they get indexed, first is SE’s regularly crawling particular hubpages topics in which Hubbers write their hubs and second is other Hubbers promoting and linking their hubs. These two ways can get you indexed by search engine without you promoting your own content.
Now let’s answer some of the questions asked by screation.
please give me some tips to optimize my hubpages for quickly indexing in search engines.
I’ve already created hub on getting indexed quickly which will help you to get started. Other than that hub i’ve also covered some more ways to get traffic from social bookmarks & article directories. One point to note here is that Hubpages is updated very fast as lot of content is posted every minute, hours on hubpages. So expect your blog getting indexed in few hours. If it’s not then you need to get backlinks to your hub. If you get backlinks from relevant sites then chances of your hub getting indexed and ranked in SE’s increases and you’ll see your hub getting indexed within few hours. If you want it to get ranked higher on search results then that is another part. Here is the list of things you can do to increase your chances of getting indexed and to fetch trickle of traffic.
- Use pingler.com or pingoat.com to ping your newly published hub.
- Use Onlywire or Socialmarker.com to post your hub as a story on social bookmarking site.
- Use hellotxt.com or Ping.fm to update your microblogging status with your new hub-link.
- Post about your new hub to relevant forums without spamming or self-promoting threads.
- If you’ve created a linkwheel then update 2-3 blogs in linkwheel with new hub-link as part of your post.
- If you’ve blogger friends in your niche then ask them to promote your new hub on their blogs. And when it comes to their hub/blog post don’t forget to promote their stuff as well.
- Nofollow blog networks like Xomba/Yousaytoo can be used to get indexed quickly so write short blog post on those sites and place link to your hub in order to get your hub noticed by SE’s.
- Some hubpages members promote hubs of other members and drive traffic to their hubs so get in touch with them and request them to promote your blog.
- Ning.com communities can also be used for traffic and getting indexed.
- Answer questions which are related to your hub on Y! answers, Mahalo or other answers sites and link to your hub if possible.
These steps are sufficient to let your hub noticed by search engines.
Is it good to submit hubpages content on dofollow blogs?
I’m not quite sure what you mean by submitting hubpages content on dofollow blogs. Do you mean submitting entire content of hubpages to another blog or you mean linking from another blog to hubpages content? In any case, I’ll try to answer both of these questions.
1. If you’re copying your entire hubpages content to another blog then that will hurt in many ways. Just to clarify yourself on duplicate content you can check this post.
2. If you want to submit your hub-link to dofollow social networks or blogs or directories then go ahead it’ll help you get some backlinks and you can fetch some traffic as well. Dofollow blogs with High PR gives out some link-juice to your hubs if you link from those sites.
I hope this hub answers some of your questions related to getting indexed and posting content on dofollow blogs.
